Her subject knowledge was excellent, she was able to answer some quite obscure questions! The images which accompanied Liz&#8217;s talk were extremely engaging and provided talking points throughout and after the discussion. She read from her collection Animal Magic and had created the most wonderful powerpoint slides of shape poems that brought her words to life as she read them and engaged the young audience. Liz was completely professional throughout and it was a pleasure to have her read for us. <\/em>Lorraine Mariner National Poetry Library, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ffcc99;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Liz Brownlee made a very successful contribution to the Exeter Poetry Festival 2017, leading a day-long family drop-in event at Exeter Central Library. Participants described it as both \u2018fun\u2019 and \u2018inspirational\u2019, and there was a steady flow of business through the day. We\u2019d certainly use Liz again &#8211; the set-up is imaginative and involving and Liz has a lovely, sympathetic touch with children (and parents).\u00a0<\/em>Alasdair Paterson, Chair, Exeter Poetry Festival.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffcc99;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>The children were totally engaged right from the off, reading Liz\u2019s brilliant poems and observing the clever animations; she even wrote a personal poem for the children about Chinchillas which is the name of our class. The resources she brought with her were engaging too and the children were able to interact with them \u2013 the puppets and the magnetic words.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The children were then inspired to write their own poems about rainforest animals which were fantastic, they were very proud of them. During the workshop, Liz was supporting the children and offering ideas and was warm and encouraging at all times.
